Webinar series Jordan ESIA & hazardous substances

The Jordan Ministry for Environment and the NCEA jointly organised a series of webinars on dealing with the risks of hazardous substances within ESIA. Jordan has recently updated its ESIA regulation to make sure a risk assessment is integrated into an ESIA when a project involves such risks. About 30 ESIA practitioners attended the series, to learn from each other, and to discuss what is needed to better address this topic in practice. The webinars are part of an ongoing co-operation on ESIA and SEA between the Netherlands and Jordan.
