Significant details
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) requested the support of NCEA to enhance the capacity of its Health, Safety and Environment Division to prepare for a satisfactory review of SEA and ESIA reports relevant to their mandates. Around 30 participants from MEMD and NEMA were trained in Entebbe, Uganda during a 4 day workshop wiht the objective to provide the participants with a general overview SEA and its links with ESIA, how to ensure SEAs influence and to guide in initiating SEAs for the mining and energy sector.
