The purpose of this case is to provide information on experiences in the use of strategic environmental assessment (SEA) for government plans or programmes with a spatial component. This may refer to spatial plans, land use plans, regional development plans or town and country plans, but also to catchment or river basin plans within the framework of integrated water resources management.
