7237-02. IWRM and SEA in Burkina Faso
Together with Dutch Water Authorities, the NCEA has supported wateragencies in Burkina Faso to develop a guide for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). The guide aims to help Burkinabè water agencies to develop IWRM plans for their region. In Burkina Faso, such plans need to be accompanied by a strategic environmental assessment. The guide is currently being piloted by the Mouhoun Water Authority in the Samendéni-Sourou basin.
