SEA and ESIA capacity development for the Health, Safety and Environment Division under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and for other actors in the ESIA and SEA system in Uganda.

Significant details

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) requested the support of NCEA to enhance the capacity of its Health, Safety and Environment Division to satisfactory review of SEA and ESIA reports relevant to their mandates.  Around 30 participants from MEMD and NEMA will be trained in Uganda on SEA, focusing on its significant importance, the stages and its relevance to the policies and plans related to energy and mineral developments.
