420-i. Quick Scan Advice ESIA for Shrimp Farm Nigeria

The Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) provides customised finance to Dutch small and medium enterprises doing business in developing countries and emerging markets. Some of the projects that are considered for financing require an environmental and social assessment (ESIA). One such project concerns a shrimp farm in Nigeria. The NCEA has provided advice on a technical proposal for the ESIA for this project. The NCEA also reviewed the subsequent ESIA report, and advised on the environmental management plan.

Significant details

The DGGF is administered by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, RVO). It aims to contribute to inclusive economic development in 66 developing countries and emerging markets in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
