Significant details
The Netherlands Embassy in Ghana invited the NCEA to assist several Ghanaian government agencies in reformulating a proposal for the Ghana Environmental Assessment Capacity Building/Institutional Strengthening Project (GEASP). This assistance would be a proposed outline for a reformulated proposal, and guidelines on how to proceed with the reformulation process.
The NCEA has drafted a memorandum that reflects discussions on this topic that were held during working sessions with the counterpart organisations. The memorandum describes a basic framework that the parties agreed upon, including a log-frame with specific objectives and expected results. It also describes next steps that the parties agreed upon, including identification of main activities, definition of indicators for monitoring progress, and required capacities for implementation. In addition, a number of indicators for effective monitoring were developed and guidelines were proposed for finalising the proposal.
