006-i. Advice on ToR: EIA for village water supply Dosso - Niger

The NCEA was intended to advise on Terms of Reference (ToR) for the EIA for a rural water supply project in Dossa, Niger. The request for this support was however withdrawn and no advisory report was submitted.

Significant details

The Dutch government proposed a project to improve rural drinking water supplies in the department of Dosso. The project would be titled 'Programme d'Hydraulique Villageoise Dosso (Phase III)'. Project activities would include drilling and repairing wells, and building a water supply system in a number of rural villages.

The NCEA was originally asked to provide support the project by advising on Terms of Reference (ToR) for the EIA. A working group had been established. The request for support was however withdrawn. The NCEA discontinued its activities and did not submit an advisory report.
