What are the strengths and challenges of the ESIA system in Jordan?

“Every country that is committed to improving their ESIA-system, should do an ESY-mapping workshop”, according to one of the participants of the Jordan ESY-mapping workshop. In three days, a varied group of stakeholders in the ESIA process discussed the strengths and challenges of their regulation and practice. At the end of workshop, the participants had a good understanding of what works well and where room for improvement is needed. Concrete actions were formulated to be carried out in the coming weeks and months. For example, they will start a professional exchange platform to share information and experiences.
