Signing MoU with Ministry of Environment & Sustainable Development - Guinea

Conakry, Guinea - The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MEDD) in Guinea is embarking on a series of larger projects and reform processes related to Environmental and Social Assessments. Firstly, the SEA for the chimpansee-rich Bafing Falémé landscape, Secondly, the World Bank-financed programme on mining and environmental governance, and last but not least, the creation of a more autonomous environment agency. Since the MEDD required technical assistance with the three reform processes, the NCEA and the MEDD were happy to sign an MoU that will serve as a guide to cooperation for the coming years.
