SEA for water related infrastructure, Pantanal-Chaco landscape

Brasilia, 3-7 December. Which issues are typically encountered in strategic environmental assessments for water related infrastructure decisions? These and other questions were discussed in two workshops for government officials and CSOs with a focus on SEA in the Pantanal-Chaco landscape. Similar workshops were also conducted in March in Paraguay. The NCEA was invited by WWF-Brazil and IBAMA (government agency responsible for environment), and the workshops were financially supported by the SJRS Programme and the Netherlands Embassy.
