Webinar on developing ESIA legal framework for mining

The NCEA recently participated in a webinar on Improving Legal Frameworks for ESIA and Management in the Mining Sector. The webinar was organised by IGF (Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development) to discuss its latest Guidance for Governments.

In May of this year we advised on the draft guidance and made some recommendations for further improvement. The guidance contains extensive information and valuable instructions on ESIA within the mining sector and beyond, and therefore is potentially useful for a broader audience.
