Official SEA Taskforce established - Kenya

Kenya is undertaking an ambitious endeavour towards more sustainable development by integrating SEA in county planning. This got an extra boost with the official establishment of a taskforce recently, consisting of representatives of among others the Council of Governors, NEMA, and the National Treasury. The taskforce promotes the use of SEA by the counties, and coordinates the development of specific guidelines. The NCEA support the taskforce and individual counties with capacity development and coaching activities. We are very excited for all parties to take the next steps in SEA for improved planning and better governance.
