New colleagues!
23 January 2023
It is with great pleasure that we welcome two new colleagues to our team:
- Ms Simone Filippini (L) joins the consultative body of the NCEA's 7 (vice-)chairpersons and will specifically be in charge of all international activities. She succeeds Ms. Tanya van Gool who will retire after five years of highly valued service.
Simone Filippini previously worked as a diplomat and ambassador for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was CEO of Cordaid and Interim Director for the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy. She is currently involved in various activities, amongst which heading Leadership4SDGs which she started in 2019. Her international experience and commitment to sustainable development will be a great asset to our international team!
- Ms Laurie Borrelli dos Reis (R), is our new Technical Secretary. Originally from Brazil, she holds a master's degree in International Migration and Social Cohesion (MISOCO), part of the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Previously, Laurie worked as a Project Manager for ADRA, a humanitarian organisation, and the UNDP. She was stationed in Lebanon, Haiti and North Brazil and worked in emergency relief situations as well as with displaced persons. She is looking forward to dive into the world of environmental and social assessment and we are looking forward to get inspired by her experience and expertise!
