NCEA contributions to SEA workshop in Beijing

As part of cooperation activities on SEA between China and the Netherlands, the NCEA contributed to a 2-day workshop on SEA for urban planning (see presentation) and water management. The workshop was held on the 2nd and 3rd of December in Beijing. Pieter Bloemen (Deltacommissioner expert team) presented an innovative SEA approach developed for the Dutch Delta programme. Workshop participants discussed SEA application to policy level decision-making. China has clear ambitions for this type of SEA. During this visit, the NCEA and the Chinese partners also discussed priorities for continuation of SEA exchange between the two countries.
