NCEA contributions to SEA training for energy sector
15 December 2014
The NCEA contributed to an SEA training in Gothenburg on December 5th. This training was the start of a 1,5 year programme for 30 participants from the energy sectors in Rwanda, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zanzibar. The programme is funded by SIDA and organized by NIRAS and the Centre for Environment and Sustainability in Gothenburg. It supports participants in developing an “SEA project” to improve the use of SEA in planning processes in which they are involved. The NCEA’s contribution to this training was a presentation on the SEA system approach, followed by a group assignment in which country SEA systems were assessed.
