NCEA contributions for update of Uganda’s EIA regulations

The NCEA supports the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) in Uganda in updating its EIA and Audits regulations. It participated in a multi-stakeholder workshop in Jinja (2-3 March) and a NEMA team discussion in Kampala (4 March). The NCEA provided comments and presentations on selected aspects of the EIA regulations, such as screening lists. It will continue to be involved in the further refinement of the regulations.
