Dutch Minister visits Niger

Due to population growth and climate change, water and land are under pressure in Niger. Droughts and floods are becoming more frequent. Last week, Dutch Minister Schreinemacher of International Cooperation and Trade agreed with Environment Minister Garama Saratou to contribute with Dutch knowleddge to finding solutions for the current challenges.

One example of this contribution is the support to the Vallée du Niger Programme, which is subject to SEA. The NCEA is proud to cooperate with the Nigerien authorities in the development of this SEA.
