Completed: new Sustainability Analysis
7 June 2024
The analysis examines how countries can use available knowledge on sustainable development dilemmas for meaningful decisions and actions. It proposes a new governance perspective for analysing such dilemmas, and is tested on the case of the Netherlands.
Simone Filippini, Chair of the working group: "If governments want to accelerate the SDGs, they need to develop more capacity for dialogue about sustainable development dilemmas. Together with the private sector and civil society, they need to look for a workable interface between science and policy.
We note that the analysis, and in particular its application to the situation in the Netherlands, is already attracting attention. By publishing this analysis report, the NCEA hopes to encourage discussion and knowledge-sharing at home and abroad and to inspire others.”
