pasfoto saskia ivensAs from July 2013 the DSU will expand its services with advice on women’s rights and gender equality, particularly within water and food security programming. For this new task, Drs Ir Saskia Ivens has joined the DSU team. With access to gender experts based in academia and the public and private sectors both in countries in the North and the global South, we can offer the following support:

  1. Identification of opportunities in the fields of environment, climate, sustainable development and women’s rights and gender equality for MASPs, and operationalization of these opportunities in proposed programming;
  2. Organisation and implementation of context analyses and gender impact studies;
  3. Improvement of monitoring and results measurement;
  4. Communication of results;
  5. Evaluations.
