The NCEA visited Benin to follow up on our support for the SEA of Lac Nokoué. In the coming months, we will be supporting the development of good governance for this lake and the two adjoining cities Cotonou and Porto Novo. The two largest cities in the country, with a total of almost 900.000 inhabitants.

In 2021, the NCEA was involved in coaching the steering committee on aspects related to Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for a strategic plan for the development and improvement of the Lac Nokoué and Porto Novo region. Our colleague Stephen Teeuwen was interviewed by the local news.
