ESIA awareness raising and capacity among media development organisations and journalists in MENA Region

A core principle to ESIA is transparency and public disclosure of information. Therefore this instrument can enable journalists to access information on projects and investment related decisions. On the other hand, journalists can play an important role in ensuring accountability and transparency in ESIA processes.

Recognizing the role of journalists in ESIA systems, the NCEA has started to building relations with media organisations in the MENA region to collaborate on activities that can advance the awareness and skills of journalists on ESIA.
