NCEA support started in 2018, with SEA workshops on spatial planning and water infrastructure in the Pantanal-Chaco region, as part of the Shared Resources Joint Solutions programme. Similar workshops took place in 2019 and 2022, the latter one focused on an SEA for an Urban Masterplan for the lower Chaco area. The activities were (financially) supported by WWF Netherlands and WWF Paraguay.

Paraguay will carry out an SEA for the Masterplan for Urban Development in Chaco-í in Asunción.
The Paraguyan Ministry of Public Works and Communications wants to explore strategic assessment for the Corredor Vial Bioceánica.
The NCEA organised two workshops for government officials and CSOs on SEA in the Pantanal-Chaco landscape.
The NCEA supported an SEA for an Urban Masterplan for Chaco-i (accross the river in Asunción, Paraguay).
