The NCEA advised on a framework for analysis of water management projects in developing countries. This framework was used in a policy memorandum on the topic.

Significant details

The Commission’s advice concern a framework for analysis which is intended to be a practical manual for implementing water management (planning) studies. The two elements elaborated in this manual are: i) the water management system and the three subsystems distinguished within this –  natural, socio-economic and administrative-institutional subsystems, and ii) planning – the development, analyses and evaluation of water management strategies. the framework for analysis is included in the water Management and development Cooperation policy memorandum as a self-contained document in the form of an appendix.
