7201. Jakarta Port Concept - Indonesia - D2B16RI03

The city of Jakarta wants to expand seawards. East of the port of Tanjung Priok, the city is planning three artificial islands (the so-called O,P and Q islands) to accommodate a port, industries, logistics facilities and residential areas. A grant is being sought from the Netherlands Develop2Build (D2B) programme for the first development phase of this project.   The NCEA provides advice to the D2B staff on how to effectively integrate impact assessment into the plan and project development for this expansion.
