How can we assist you?

NCEA's support options

At request, the NCEA offers various forms of support to governmental authorities and non-governmental organisations:

Independent review

At the request of a government authority, we give independent advice about the scope or the quality of environmental impact assessment reports and processes. You can involve us at various stages of the impact assessment to review the soundness and completeness of the assessment report and the process followed. Learn more.

Coaching

Strategic Environmental Assessment trajectories can be very complex and multisided.  In these cases, we can support authorities in charge of these processes through coaching. Learn more.

Capacity development

The NCEA supports the development of capacity across the full range of actors that have a role in impact assessment. The activities can take all kinds of forms, because they are tailored to the needs of the target group. Learn more.

System analysis

The NCEA helps to assess the quality of national environmental impact assessment systems. We can zoom in on specific elements of these systems such as legislation, institutions, capacities, or enabling environments. Learn more.

What are the costs?

In all countries that have a bilateral agreement with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, our assistance for competent authorities, civil society organisations and academia is free of charge.
In exceptional cases, competent authorities from other countries can also make use of our independent review free of charge.
In all other cases, support can be given on a non-profit basis.
