The NCEA at IAIA19

Brisbane - At the annual conference of IAIA (International Association for Impact Assessment) NCEA's Rob Verheem led two theme fora. 

• Independence in IA: presentations and lively debate led to a first list of ‘building blocks for independence in IA’, possibly leading to an IAIA special publication on this topic.
• IA & the SDGs (with Maria Partidario), looked at ways to better integrate Sustainable Development Goals in IA practice. Results of the meeting will be the basis for possible new outputs of this special IAIA task force.
